Just had my baby shower/party today. My family made it out to be more of a huge family reunion more than anything and there were so many people. I was really touched at how many people turned out for it.
At Christmas, SO?s sister bought baby to be a piggy bank. It was a really sweet gesture. Well, I got a bank for my shower and I swear, not 1 hour after we got home SO decides that SS5 should get the piggy bank that baby to be got at Christmas.
He didn?t bother to ask me, he didn?t bother to ask his sister, he just made the decision that the SS5 was entitled to the piggy bank. To be honest, I don?t care about the piggybank. I am capable of sharing or shifting gifts around, what I am pissed about is that he just did it without any consideration to anyone else.
I can already see how it?s going to be. SS5 is going to be entitled to EVERYTHING that bio-son has. I am all for equality but damn it. Is everything concerning attention to bio-son going to draw up a big episode of Guilty Dad syndrome? SS5 was not slighted in the least at this shower/party. He was celebrated in many ways as being a big brother with cards, a couple gifts and a special name tag just for him. And trust me, my immediate family paid more attention to SS5 than me and I EXPECT THAT! 
I just wish he would have asked me in private. Say "hey, maybe we could give SS5 that other piggy bank because he doesn't have one." I would have had no problems with that.
